PhotoShelter Desktop Uploader

This project aims to overhaul PhotoShelter's desktop uploader (last worked on in 2015) to meet modern standards and user needs. The redesign focuses on enhancing performance, improving user experience, and ensuring compatibility with current technologies. Objectives include addressing usability issues, integrating with contemporary operating systems and cloud services, expanding file format support, and bolstering security. Through iterative design, user feedback, and thorough testing, the goal was to deliver a revitalized uploader that optimizes workflow efficiency and sets a new benchmark for image management software.

Goals and challenges:

The greatest challenge that this project present was the ambitious timeline. An immediate rebuild was required due to technical and security issues with the existing app.
My goal was to identify the core features and design an MVP that would fulfill user needs and look beautiful, while also allowing reasonable time for engineering to complete the scope of the design.
