I am a full-stack Product Designer, based in NYC.
Hi, my name is Niamh and I currently work at PhotoShelter, an NYC-based digital asset management platform that services both B2B and B2C customers, including enterprise clients such a Delta Airlines, the NFL and MLB. I bring extensive experience designing for AI and with 9 years of experience designing SaaS products, I am highly skilled at adapting and working quickly.
The process I use to design user-centered products
Having worked on a range of large and (very) small teams, I have gained experience at every stage of the planning, design, and delivery process. I am grateful for every project I have had the opportunity to work on, as each one has taught me something that I didn’t expect to learn, and that has made me a better designer.
Define
Leading with empathy and a willingness to listen, I work to define the core problem that needs to be solved.
Research
Looking at different resources, competitor analysis and evaluation of existing products, I am organized in my approach to research and presentation.
User Analysis
I am experienced in a range of methods used to extract and analyze user data and behavior to identify the core users.
Tech. Research
With extensive experience building relationships with Engineering teams, I am fluent in technical validation.
Ideation
Over my career, I've become an expert in decision-making and rapid prototyping , working through ideas quickly. I iterate through designs to gain alignment from stakeholders.
Design
With a passion for production quality, I present designs with care and consideration to every detail.
Test and Validation
While testing builds, I collaborate closely with SDET and Engineering. I use a number of methods to test engagement and user satisfaction with everything I design.
Post-launch analysis
I test my work against defined success metrics to identify areas of improvement and iterate on my work.
